Ella isn’t getting her way with mom… So Betsy is the official recipient of Baby’s first scowls today

Well, my (Jeremy) Dad is now back in Cape Town after 3 weeks with us.

It was fantastic to have him here and have him see our little family in operation. Of course the usual downside applies - very very sad to see him go. This long distance family stuff really sucks.

Dash’s cough has returned, so we will call the internist on Monday and see what is next… Fun fun.

Ella has developed a nice grasp on the idea of wailing when she wants something. Now starts the fun of trying to show her it doesn’t work, while balancing that with the fact that she doesn’t necessarily (we think) understand what we may be saying.

Parenthood changes a lot of things. Including how you see your own parents.

Dash the Whippet has just been to an internist for a cough he has had for over a year. Hes had X-Rays and a shot (right in the trachea!), and we will see how he does…

‘Grandpa Ian’ is now on his plane from South Africa to Cincinnati (Via JFK), so he will be here tomorrow afternoon sometime.

This morning is the first real snow of the season… its around and inch worth and still coming.

Ella is a walking machine… Since thanksgiving she has been walking much more than crawling…

Lots going on today. The house is finally getting some paint… see the pictures in the gallery.

We also voted today.. now we will wait and see what happens.
